The Spark AR Workshop:
Noland Chaliha, AR Developer and Spark AR Official Partner is excited to share a complete walk through on how to use skin segmentation in your Spark AR effect and how to delight any users who are interacting with your AR filters on Instagram!
Explore the possibilities of Spark AR by making a elemental themed super hero AR effect! We will talk about creating an exciting 'Ice and Fire element' powered Super Hero for Spark AR Creator Days. This will include a introduction to skin segmentation, using colors you want to tint the user's skin to look like fire or ice, then as we learn more about utilizing Spark AR's capabilities we will cover how to add user interaction to transition and create a sense of scene and timing in our AR effects!
What to expect:
You will learn how to compose a complex asset by finding textures that help form a base for custom shaders, putting those textures in the scene, and pulling out details through procedural animations to engage the user to see a change in the effect as they use it.
Spark AR capabilities you will experiment with during the workshop:
Using person segmentation or skin segmentation
An intro to sparkSL
Procedural animation patches like keyframe and transition
Utilizing AR Media Library (using pre-recorded videos for your effects)
Publishing to Instagram in the Spark AR Hub and how to share and get your friends engaged
Design Jam Kick-off and Creator Pods in Breakout Rooms (40 min)
Publish Spark AR Effects and Showcase Your New Instagram Effect (20 min)
