Meta Spark Creator Camp is an interactive 6-week virtual program, consisting of workshops and office hours, led by AR experts from Meta. The program is designed to inspire and challenge creative professionals and AR enthusiasts on how to design, build and publish using advanced capabilities and answer your questions. This immersive experience will help you build advanced effects, and better prepare you for the Meta Spark certification exam.

You will have the opportunity to ideate, build, and showcase your effects across Meta platforms with the rest of your fellow members during the last week of the program. Space is limited; sign up today!

Program features

Five on-demand Workshops on Advanced Capabilities:

In these workshops, you will learn to design using advanced capabilities such as World AR, Multipeer and Hand tracking.

Two Live Office Hours on Spark AR Certification & Eight Live Office Hours on Advanced Capabilities:

Throughout the program, we will have a number of 30mins live office hours. Before Office Hours, a pinned post will go up in the Facebook group asking for your questions. These questions will be compiled before Office Hours, and our engineers and designers will respond to them live on Zoom.

Keynote Speakers:

Hear from speakers about how to make money with AR and tips and pointers on Spark AR Certification.

Program summary 

This program has been designed to suit working professionals and everyday commitment is not required. 

Orientation (week 1)

Consists of program introductions, breakout rooms and guest speakers. 

Ideation (week 2-3)

Consists of guest speakers, Office hours on Spark AR Certification and Advanced Capabilities (Multipeer).

Build (week 4-5)

This is the week to build, build and build. Also, consists of office hours on Advanced Capabilities (Hand Tracking & World AR).

Demo (week 6)

 Program closing, Prepare slides and share your work with everyone on Dropbox to receive peer reviews.

Program expectations of participants

In this program, we expect the participants to:

• Attend at least two live office hours.
• Submit at least one quality effect by the end of the program.

Who is this event for? Top creators who have been part of one of our developer's programs in the past want to learn more about advanced capabilities and/or pass the Spark AR certification exam.

Is the program free? Yes

How do I RSVP? Once you have clicked on the RSVP button, you will need to register to the website if you are not already registered. After that, you can RSVP.

Can I attend this program more than once? Unfortunately no, we want to give this opportunity to as many creators as possible. Therefore, each creator can attend the program only once. However, once you join the Facebook group, you can continue to benefit from the group's resources for as long as you would like.

Why is Meta hosting this program? Meta wants to connect creators with cutting-edge AR and ensure creators have a better understanding of using advanced capabilities.

What is in it for attendees? Workshops and live office hours with Meta's engineering and product team and the opportunity to connect with other amazing developers and businesses.

What happens after I register to attend? Eligible participants will receive an invitation to join a closed Facebook group dedicated to the Creator Camp Program. All communications will be through this Facebook group and emails.

Is all-day participation required throughout the week? No, but we expect the participants to attend at least two office hours. However, we strongly encourage everyone to attend as many sessions as possible. 

What platform(s) will be used for the engagement? Facebook Group. We will send you the link to this group in an email.
